Eternal Reefs offers four reef ball sizes, each at a fixed price:

• Nautilus (1 foot diameter): $2,995 — holds the remains of one person
• Aquarius (2 feet diameter): $3,995 — holds the remains of one person, larger structure
• Mariner (3 feet diameter): $5,995 — holds the remains of up to two people
• Atlantis (4 feet diameter): $7,995 — holds the remains of up to four people

The price includes the reef ball casting, the mixing of ashes into the concrete, a bronze memorial plaque, GPS coordinates of the placement site, a certificate with those coordinates, and the family's participation in the casting and dedication ceremonies.

What it does not include: travel and hotel costs for the casting weekend (typically held in coastal cities like Sarasota, FL or Charleston, SC) and any shipping costs if you need to send ashes to Eternal Reefs rather than bringing them in person.

How the Process Works

Eternal Reefs uses patented, pH-balanced concrete formulations cast in "Reef Ball" molds — dome-shaped structures with holes that mimic natural reef architecture. The concrete is engineered to match the alkalinity of natural limestone, which encourages rapid colonization by algae, coral, sponges, and marine life.

The casting weekend: Families travel to the casting facility for a 2-day event. On the first day, you mix your loved one's ashes into the wet concrete with your own hands (or a family representative does), press handprints or meaningful objects into the surface, and watch the reef ball set. On the second day, the cured reef ball is loaded onto a deployment vessel and lowered to the seafloor at a government-permitted site.
