Form 10D — Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS-95): Provides a monthly lifelong pension to the surviving spouse, plus monthly pension benefits for up to two children under 21 years of age.

Form 5IF — Employees' Deposit-Linked Insurance (EDLI): Claims the built-in life insurance coverage that comes with EPF membership. The deceased never paid premiums for this — it is employer-funded. The maximum EDLI payout is INR 7 Lakhs.

The Aadhaar Waiver for Overseas Deaths

Normally, EPFO claims require Aadhaar seeding — linking the member's Aadhaar number to their PF account. For members who permanently migrated abroad or died overseas, the EPFO now permits physical death claim processing without Aadhaar seeding.
