Al-Wasel Cargo — Total: 2,150 SAR. This comprises a 600 SAR Air Waybill fee, 410 SAR SAL airport handling, 713 SAR local Jeddah transportation, and 427.50 SAR office service charges.

Rabel International Cargo — Total: 2,175 SAR. This includes a 600 SAR Air Waybill fee, 375 SAR SAL airport handling, 425 SAR Rabel handling charge, 25 SAR WASHAJ barcode fee, and 750 SAR Jeddah ground transport.

For deaths in the Eastern Province (Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran) or the Riyadh region, different local cargo handlers operate, and rates may vary. The Pakistani Embassy's Welfare Wing maintains a list of approved operators for each region.

International Repatriation Specialists

Companies like Jasmin International and Mears Repatriation operate globally and handle cases from Saudi Arabia as part of their broader network. Their services tend to be more expensive than local operators but offer a more comprehensive package:

What to Verify Before Signing

Confirm the exit visa is in hand. The most expensive mistake families make is booking and paying for cargo services before the Jawazaat has issued the exit visa. PIA and most international airlines accept cremated remains with proper documentation. Contact the airline's cargo or special services desk before departure for airline-specific requirements.

Timing the Booking

The optimal sequence is:

1. Complete the consular NOC, MOFA, and Civil Affairs steps
2. Deposit the embalming fee and confirm the embalming slot at Tib-e-Sharayee (remains must arrive by Wednesday before 3:00 PM)
3. Clear liabilities and secure the Jawazaat exit visa
4. Book the cargo company and confirm the flight booking with PIA or a private carrier
5. Notify OPF at the receiving airport 24 hours before arrival
